Welcome to Thesis Writing, the focus of which is assisting students in the preparation of their research or policy papers. This is a 15-week course offered by the Center for Professional Communication during spring term, 2016.
In this course, we will be meeting as a class five times, after which you will be arranging individual consultation sessions with me. As you know, I am at GRIPS both Monday and Wednesday from about 5 until 9; on Wednesday I have to teach from 6:20 until 7:50, but outside of that block of time I am very available for consultation.
Course Material
Our initial class will include an overview of the course.

Deadlines
Following are the various deadlines for your enjoyment ... well, perhaps that isn't the correct word.
- ✓ End of May: preliminary draft
- ✓ June 27: more polished draft
- ✓ July 4: research paper presentation (all YLP students)
- ✓ July 21: research paper due (program deadline)
- ✓ July 30: final research paper deadline (for CPC)
Please be very careful to meet deadlines--time is short! As I mentioned in class, I have consultation hours on Monday and perhaps Wednesday, but you're welcome to contact me to set up special consultation times.
